@cpokrywka

The initial release of Catalina is definitely supported, so I’m not sure what’s going on with your particular setup. I cannot say about the supplemental update.

Edit: Supplemental update is also supported. Please share logs of script run (take screenshot at every question asked), share screenshots of System Report > Displays and PCI section with eGPU connected. I also assume that the card is appropriately powered (all power cables plugged) and assembled.

Also add your config. to your signature.

I know there won‘t be Good News but maybe Beta 2 of .1 fixes White Screen of Death?

Not sure if beta 2 fixed my boot screen for my mac mini with a Razer Core X + Radeon VII but i also followed @itsage instructions of using controller #1 (Port 4) instead of controller #0.

@juan_c_yunis Can you clarify your boot screen struggle? Was it not showing through the eGPU-connected monitor? I believe 10.15.1 Dev Beta 2 has nothing to do with it.

I was getting a black screen with a Razer core x + Radeon VII, my monitor detected an input like signal but no output at all, the only way i was able to boot was with iGPU connected too. And I read that you had trouble using controller #0 (Port 1 and 2) so i disconnected the eGPU and connected it in controller #1 (Port 4) and applied the update and when it finished i was able to boot with the eGPU alone. Not sure if the problem was the controller or if the beta fixed something for me. I read that this beta added support for Navi 5700, so maybe they did something for bootscreen too.

It was TB3 controller-related. I found that out when I was using an older macOS 10.15 version. It's also possible that the Radeon VII was the only card to behave that way on the 2018 Mac mini.

I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013) and I''ve been using PurgeWrangler since the Mojave, however after updating to Catalina version 10.15 (19A602), it appears that my eGPU works without PurgeWrangler! (PurgeWrangler continues to pop up after restarting alerting that my settings have been reset and asks me if I want to reconfigure; I've been hitting "No," because everything appears to be working and I wanted to ask the community's opinion.)

I have a Razer Core X, with a Radeon RX 580, connected via my Thunderbolt 2 ports.

Has anyone else experience this? System details below:

Could you share screenshot of purge-wrangler System Status as well as System Report > Displays and System Report > PCI with eGPU connected?

I also need output of purge-wrangler system status.
