Hi, I almost got the same laggy as Very laggy experience
I reinstall the MacOS system today, then ran the script without any parameters. But whenever I plug in my thunderbolt 3 cable when the laptop is off, turn it on and start using the dual monitor setup connected to the GTX 1070 inside of the eGPU enclosure (Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Box) I get a very laggy experience. Everything regarding UI actions causes lag and basic window moving takes around 5-10 seconds to complete visually, I'm pretty certain it doesn't have to do with the hardware itself, as I've also created a Bootcamp partition (windows 10) which is also using the same setup with great performance.

After the experience the laggy, I try to install the set-eGPU.sh from set-eGPU.sh

enable 1. Set eGPU Preference for All Applications, but still laggy.

And when I boot the system, Apple logo screen is like this, sometimes is pink instead of green. Macbook Pro display show like this, then external screen. After that I can log in the system.

Screenshot

My setup is:

MacBook Pro 2018 16GB RAM, 2.2 GHz Intel Core i7, 256GB SSD, AMD Radeon Pro 555X
eGPU is EVGA GTX 1070 FTW
MasOS is 10.13.6 (17G2208)

Any ideas what could be going wrong? If you need more info please ask 😄 .

Thanks!

I just find out my MasOS is 10.13.6 (17G2208), but NVIDIA driver [387.10.10.10.40.105], 387.10.10.10.40.105 is for build 17G65. That's why I got problem with my computer.

I update the Mac OS to latest. If I install the Nvidia Web Driver - 387.10.10.15.15.108 for build 17G2307, I can't run macos-egpu.sh script. If I run purge-wrangler.sh, the system won't recognise eGPU.

Maybe I need wait the latest script for build 17G2307.
🙁
