@mini-i5, There was some analysis of that rumor that it wasn't the highest end card, I guess we'll find out in 6 weeks.

@odin, Yes, I see now that people claiming to have sources are convinced a “Big Navi” flagship card is still a real thing.
Hmmm, that may be enough for me to hit the pause button on purchasing an RTX 3080.
If the Big Navi flagship card performance falls somewhere in the middle between the RTX 3070 and the 3080, that’s probably enough for what I will be doing in Mac OS and Windows pro apps during the next year.
@mini-i5, Assuming there will be drivers for the 6000 series for macOS (has AMD or Apple said anything?). I would imagine there probably will be, but it seems like Apple is marching down the road of using their own GPUs. I'm wondering if the 6000 series might be the last we see of a 3rd party GPU on macOS. Seems super short-sighted though from a high-end professional standpoint, I guess we shall see.

@odin, Latest macOS 11 Big Sur beta didn't have new PCI IDs. I will check when the next build arrives.
Good to see there's at least one RTX 6000 series card with USB-C monitor output port. It's a positive sign AMD and Apple are still working together.

I'd assume they'd work with AMD for a while longer, given the 2019 Mac Pro exists. They already have a good partnership so I see no benefit in them breaking that so soon. Although it is worth noting that WWDC vids almost gave the impression that Apple GPU was the only way forward. Time will tell I suppose. I don't have high expectations (just hope) because AMD has disappointed many times. That being said, I'll be waiting for all this stuff to come out before jumping on to next-gen graphics. Exciting end to what has been a ridiculous 2020.

Not as impressive a design as Nvidia’s new cards.
But not bad - compared to AMD’s previous reference cards.
New Rumors about the AMD flagship card (RX 6900?) support the old rumors of double the number of Compute Units (80) compared to the 5700 XT (40).
And with a rumored boost clock speed of 2.2 GHz.
Hard to get excited about these when it takes going through hell to get these work on bootcamp
To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
.@gakkou, but exciting if they work in macOS, and who knows, maybe this time around they will fix the issues that make AMD cards so hard to get working in Bootcamp (something to do with BAR which I have no idea what it even is, just read it somewhere on here).
