A graphics card in a eGPU is controlled the same way as a graphics card in a desktop PCIe slot. So any app that works for a non-eGPU should work for an eGPU.

Mac mini (2018), Mac Pro (Early 2008), MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), GA-Z170X-Gaming 7, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Sonnet Echo Express III-D, Trebleet Thunderbolt 3 to NVMe M.2 case

iStat Menus 6 seems to be working for my RX 580 eGPU (Mac mini 2018, Catalina). It shows temperature, clocks, power, memory, processor.

iStat Menus 6 CPU + GPU

Your version looked slightly different.  Is yours from the Appstore or ..Seller's website? Just tried on mine there is no eGPU readings.  Does yours have dedicated GPU? or only Intel integrated?

@user99999 I downloaded the version from the website that I linked because the App Store versions were not free. My Mac mini has an iGPU and an eGPU (Sonnet Echo Express III-D and RX 580). Maybe the 5700XT isn't supported? Try a different GPU?

You have an iGPU and a dGPU. Does the app only support one none-iGPU?

These are questions to ask the product developers - because there's no reason Thunderbolt would stop them from reading temps and clocks.

Onnit is a really good monitoring system, I don’t know if it works for eGPU yet. Just got mine running.
