Mass Effect Legendary Edition Pre-Rendered Cut Scene Lag
I’ve run into an issue with cutscenes in Mass Effect Legendary Edition. It seems having an eGPU causes problems with how to cutscenes are read in game. For ME1 I followed the suggestion here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Mass-Effect-Legendary-Edition/Pre-rendered-cutscenes-play-in-slow-motion-4-12-fps-PC/td-p/10351692/page/2 and it worked fine.
ME2 I did the same thing, it works okay, but there was still some audio lag. I tried using a mod that updated the cut scenes, but it appears the problem is back.
I haven't looked myself but it seems many people had high CPU usage and low GPU usage during the scenes, and that if they used their dedicated GPU the scenes work fine.
Wondering if anyone here has come across this issue and had a second fix, a search hasn't pulled anything up. Alternatively, would there be an easy way to have the gameplay use the eGPU and the cut scenes use my dGPU?
Ive had similar issue with Borderlands three, it drops to 30 frames persecond, I think its an issue with the newest drivers from nvidia. Ill try to look into this further.
The original MassEffect 2 was not meant to go beyond 60 fps at 1080p so that maybe your issue.
