Window 10 stop working while I am playing Witcher 3

WD mypassport SSD as my win to go drive (win 1809)
I am new to window egpu gaming and just tried this project 3 days ago. I have encountered many problems, most of them can be solved by some google search. My biggest headache is that sometime when I launch a game aka Witcher 3, it works but after 5-10 minutes of gameplay, my window system stops working and I got black screen. Sometimes, I restarted my system and spotted that I have to reinstall the game again and again. I doubted that is the fault of AMD XConnect Technology but I cannot find newer driver for it. BTW, I have updated to latest Adrenalin 19.12.3 thanks to the instruction I found in this forum. Thank you so much!
Test game-playing in macOS with this same eGPU setup and see whether you encounter similar issues. My guess is the Win10 to go on external SSD is acting up. It's best to partition about 50GB for Windows 10 on the internal drive then use the external SSD for your game library.
@itsage I am afraid that this is not the fault of the SSD because I have gamed on my mac (win to go) using the internal iris graphic, I haven't experience any problem like black screen, screen freezing, disconnection of my bluetooth device (sometimes even my egpu disconnected), audio jack not working. I will try to game on mac using the egpu as well ( the game in the Appstore is so expensive...) I have tired to game(fortnite) on macOS using my egpu, everything works fine, at least no forced quit of the game( expect my display is locked at 30p but not 60p)
Anyway, Thank you for your reply.
@glory_ggary It's not typically due to the external devices but rather Windows itself in terms of resource management. It might have worked fine when there was no eGPU. With the eGPU attached, it's possible the Thunderbolt 3 connection has higher priority.
Something that worked for a similar sounding issue in another thread:
Power Options -> PCI Express -> Link State Power Management (LSPM) turn it off
Thank you so much. I have tried the mean mentioned above but it does not help...
I have noticed that when I was playing game in win 10, my gpu is always full load, even though I set the resolution in 720p low preset. Sometime, a note from win 10 said AMD Xconnect technology stopped working(dgtrayicon.exe) will be shown .
Wonder if your tb3 cables are failing? I recently found out they have a limited lifespan and had to replace mine.

I just bought it for a few week... It is a passive cable, 70cm long. But I will try to replace a new one immediately and see whether it works. Thanks!
I have tried the suggested solution in this thread and the problem is not solved. So, I think what you have mentioned is the possible root cause of the probkem, may I have your suggestion of this problem? I am so frustrated...
