Hello all,

I need some help.

I have a Razer Blade Stealth 13' with Nvidia MX150 dGPU. After 100's and 100's attempts to run DDU on the drivers and re-installing and de-installing I cannot get the thing to work on the eGPU.

The eGPU i am using is the Razor Core X, it shows up on the thunderbolt driver and is set as always connect. The GPU shows up in Device manager but will only ever have the error 12 message.

Any suggestions?

@elliott_reynolds Check your Windows 10 OS Build. Make sure it’s not OS Build 18362.329 or 18362.359. These builds are known to cause error 12.

Worrying to see the latest Windows builds effect actual Windows machines too - I always assumed they didnt suffer from error 12. Since Razer make their own eGPUs I imagine would hope they are porting this issue to Microsoft.

Only two words: Uninstall it!
It's a dreadful update, go back to 18262.295 and stick with it!

If you could possibly contact Razer support and let them know about this issue, it would be of potentially tremendous benefit to all of us using AMD egpu setups in Windows.  Assuming this is the same issue those of us running AMD cards in bootcamp with the last 2 windows updates have been experiencing.

Hello,

Im just wondering what is ur enclosure. and also it says the rx 5700 isnt a 'qualified gpu' on the website but it works? [ https://support.razer.com/gaming-laptops/razer-core-x/]

so does that mean the rx 5700 xt version should also be fine to use?

Thanks! (Im new to egpus and thinking of getting into them)
