I know there have been a few threads regarding problems running COD Warzone (getting FPS drops on certain parts of the map), but has anyone actually been able to successfully get a consistent performance using an eGPU? By consistent, I mean no random FPS drops below 65/70 on at least medium settings without lowering the render resolution below 1080.
I haven’t been able to walk through Downtown or Promenade (among other portions) without audio drops and frame rates dropping to 40 while looking at certain sections of the map.
appreciate it.

I'm curious too. My fps drops like crazy whenever there are other players around.

- My@jcurri,
I’ve got a Razer Blade 15 2018 Mercury White edition, 32gb Ram, 970 evo plus SSD, also running a razer core x RTX 2060 SUPER.
I am running into the same issues as yourself. Multiplayer runs fine at 110 FPS but certain parts of the map in warzone I will get 40 to 50 FPS frame drops.

.I have a Dell XPS 15 7590, with Sapphire Gearbox + Rx 480 / Nvidia 1070. I had massive problems with frame drop with sound popping. However i was able to elimite sound popping (with massive frame drop) by turning Thunderbolt to Native in BIOS(not automatic).
However i also have frame drops to 40 in certain point of the map, and nothing solves it.

.Same thing happens to me unfortunately. I’m using a 5700xt with a razer core x and MacBook Pro 15 inch 2019 and that card is known to have issues with modern warfare as it is. However the multiplayer works flawlessly getting 100-150 ish frames depending on the map which is exactly what I wanted. But in Warzone I get like frames as low as 30 when walking outside some areas with a lot of buildings etc. I find however when I go military base I still get a constant 60-70 fps landing there. I think Warzone just has horrific optimization for pc. I hate to say it if you have a ps4 or xbox laying around for Warzone only just play on there at least for the time being. It seems they took the time to optimize it there but not on pc as much, which makes no sense to me and aggravates me. Hopefully this update for the new season helps with frame drops with my setup. Let me know if you find a fix. Thx

.Yep, the FPS drop in urban areas is a widely known issue in Warzone on every card and every PC.
There is no fix that works consistently for most players.
So - yeah, things can't get any worse with the new season update.
And there will be a new (less broken??) version when the next-gen consoles come out.
- @mini-i5, very true. I feel like by the time the new consoles come out I would be focused on the new (hopefully better optimized) cods. Hoping the leaked Cold War one is coming this fall. That would be awesome

Yes, but I've seen people with my same vid card (GTX 1060) and comparable or even worse specs than mine... NOT with a GPU, and getting WAY better performance (not just the 10% loss promised by the eGPU). The difference seems to simply be that we are using eGPU's and they are not.

LOL, those are the 9 million people with no eGPU who’ve posted on Reddit “hey I was getting 120 FPS in COD last week, but today my FPS dropped to all the way down to 25-30. WTF?!”
