(Bootcamp) Step 2 Issue/Questions
I am following this guide: https://egpu.io/bootcamp-setup-guide-tb3-macbook-pro/#step-1 on setting up my Razer Core V2 which houses my 1080 FE to work on Bootcamp with my 2019 MacBook Pro 15". However, with Step 2 it says that I need to disable SIP but I can't find any mention on how to do that? Furthermore, by digging into: https://egpu.io/forums/mac-setup/how-to-keep-mbps-irisiris-pro-activated-when-booting-into-windows-boot-camp/ there is a mention that as of October 2017 there is performance degradation, degradation meaning longterm damage to the system? Because I want my eGPU to power my internal display what should I do to make sure that I'm seeking the most performance and letting that 30% loss of power due to feeding back be the only issue.
Also, I've read through the summarized guide and by installing a separate bootloader am I basically removing the pre-installed Mac OS boot loader? If so, then the preferences that I've set in System Preferences on the Mac side where I made it auto-boot to Mac OS instead of Windows will be ignored?

The 2018/2019 15" MacBook Pro has a firmware that doesn't allow activation of Intel iGPU. Therefore you'd need a different setup procedure to use an eGPU in Boot Camp with internal display acceleration. Good news is since you're pairing an Nvidia card, you can simply hot-plug your Razer Core V2 + GTX 1080 once Windows fully loads. The best Windows 10 version to use currently is 1903. Here's a build I did that's somewhat similar to yours.
Oh interesting, so in your guide, you used the build 1803 but now 1903 is the best to use?
I've already used DDU to uninstall AMDs drivers, should I re-install?
When you mean hot plug, does that mean that as soon as Windows is up I simply plug in the eGPU and it'll start using it or do I have to assign it somewhere? Also, with the guide that you made you had to disable the left side thunderbolt bridge is this for bandwidth purposes? By disabling the left side port does that mean that, that side will be rendered useless for the sake of plugging in a mouse?
With hot-plugging are there any risks/issues associated?
Win10 1903 is best in my experience using the 2016 15" MBP with AMD eGPU in Boot Camp. Combined with automate-eGPU EFI and DSDT.aml, I no longer need to disable any PCIe component. All four Thunderbolt 3 ports are functional. Hot-plug means connecting the device when the OS has fully loaded. Connecting the eGPU during Windows logo circle dots booting screen is called timed hot-plug.
Oh okay, so for me, with my 2019, I just need to plug the eGPU in and that’s it? I don’t need to disable any ports? But also, do I have to reinstall the AMD dGPU drivers?
