I have 2018 MacBook Pro and I am using Razer Core X to connect to it as an EGPU to play some games in Windows Bootcamp. Everytime I connect it with top left thunderbolt I get a blue screen and windows crash. What am I missing? I read some builds and saw that it should be straightforward.

I don't need a display on my Mac, I just want to get display on external Tv.

It's Razer Core X with Nvidia 1080 Ti. Man, I am so frustrated for not being able to do it. What's the initial basic setup I need to do to make it work?

Anyone with the solution? I'm almost at the point of returning Razer Core X, I bought it only after reading that it's a straightforward hookup if you want to just activate your external display. Seems like I will not get it working.

First of all, setting up an eGPU in Boot Camp for the 2018 15" MacBook Pro is not a simple process. Most reports and my experience included have the top right Thunderbolt 3 port to work best on the 2018 15" MacBook Pro. Why do you use the top left Thunderbolt 3 port to connect the eGPU? Take a look at this post where @mac_editor tried different approaches.

I'm not looking to have internal display working. I only want external display activated and from what I have read here, it looks like it's straightforward. I just need to see some steps which I need to perform to exactly achieve that.

Something like:

Step 1: Install Boot Camp
Step 2: Plug eGPU
Step 3: Go to Device Manager and disable X Y Z.

Any help in this regard will be extremely appreciating.

Just trying to get a simple freaking system work. I have new Boot Camp windows installed and my 15" Macbook Pro 2018 is attached to Razer Core X and an HDMI is running from Core to my TV. I can't get display up my TV. I only want external display to work at the moment but I have spent around 14 hours now on this damn thing to get it work.

Can someone please help me?

Oddly enough, I'm having a nightmare with my set up too now... I wonder if new Nvidia drivers are to blame? Anyone else having error 43 issues with 10xx series cards?

edit: this was solved, OP hadn't plugged his GPU in correctly, and my power cables had been knocked so needed readjusting.
