I think the upcoming yoga 920 looks very promising. I couldnt find any specifications on the US Lenovo site but on the german site they provide some information:

Last sentence says: Synchronization and backup is done at up to 40 Gbps - eight times the speed of USB 3.0!

Does the information about 40 Gbps mean it supports 4 lanes?

I have the same question.  I really like the way this Yoga 920 is looking and am praying it is PCIe Gen3 x4.  I spoke to both the tech department and the Sales department, neither could confirm it for me.

I have the laptop and both tb3 ports are 4ln

I have been asking around if anyone has actually used  An eGPU on the 920 before I buy one

CrystalDiskMark show fast SSD speed (read more than 2,000 MB/s), so it would be in GT4 OPI mode?

Nice find! It's is running in GT4 OPI mode. I got confirmation that it has x4 PCIe lanes for the Thunderbolt connection too.
