I recently acquired Orico TCM2T3-G40 TB3 NVMe enclosure to use as eGPU. Issue is Windows does not see GPU.

My setup:

Orico TCM2T3-G40 enclosure

Cheap M.2 to PCIe adapter and M.2 to 16x PCIe riser (this and this)

Lenovo T480S / desktop PC with both m.2 and TB3 (AsRock Z390-ITX). Laptop should be my final setup while PC is testing platform.

While on desktop Orico works fine with NVMe disk + GPU shows up in device manager using those cheap risers via M.2 on the motherboard.

However putting any of the M.2 risers into Orico  - no GPU shows up.  Same on laptop.

Any ideas? Is it drivers/Windows issue? Is it electrical issue and better quality riser such as R43SG/SL work?

Anyway, solved it. Another cheap m.2 to PCIe adapter of same make works perfectly.
