@Drunk, sry to spoil the party but mPCIe eGPUs on your 2nd gen i-core series of Elitebook are problematic:

1. Your WWAN port is USB only. It cannot be used to host a PCIe eGPU
2. Your mPCIe slot is whitelisted requiring bootup with wifi, then swapping in the eGPU adapter mPCIe adapter for the PCIe port to be enabled and eGPU detected.

I personally would offload it for a better eGPU candidate such as an expresscard equipped E8570P or Dell E6530.

Not so fast nando4, not so fast 😛

That damn thing has finally opened, the expresscard slot/module appears to be in place. Just the drawer was dead-stuck inside for some reason, had to do a lot of weird things till it finally loosened 🙂

Congratulations. The opened expresscard slot saves the day. A x1 expresscard eGPU now viable on your 8560P.
