If my laptop has 2 ports of thunderbolt 3, then each port support 32 Gbps bandwidth??
I have a samsung galaxy book flex (10th gen core i5 with 2 Thunderbolt 3 ports) with Zotac amp box mini eGPU.
and want to use the other port for Thunderbolt 3 dock for charging, xbox controller and portable SSD.
I'm wondering with this setup, each port can support full 32Gbps bandwidth?
Vendors more often than not use dual-port TB3 packages for notebooks. Confirm using hwinfo64 your TB3 controllers and how many PCH PCIe ports they use.
Thank you for your reply.
HWINFO64 says there are Integrated thunderbolt PCI Express 0 and 1.
It acutually looks like,
- PCI Bus #0
- Intel Ice Lake - Inegrated Thunderbolt PCI Express 0
- PCI Express x4 Bus #1
- Intel Ice Lake - Integrated Thunderbolt PCI Express 1
- PCI Express x4 Bus #44 (but nothing connected)
In this case, 32Gbps for GPU(#1) and 32Gbps for M.2 NVME SSD(#44) configuration are available?
I have a screen capture but don't know how to post it in here 🙁
