Hey All,

I have my eGPU working with a Radeon RX580 and my brand new 2018 MacBook Pro 13". Note that I'm using an external display and only the external display works - the display on the MBP just shows a black screen with a Windows icon.

I've got a number of games I play using Origin. However, now when i try to run those games, the screen just flickers and then goes back to the Origin menu.

I also have Steam games which run fine.

Is there some specific setting I need to make Origin games work?

Thanks

Sonny

@macsonny I tried running Origin FIFA 19 through an RTX 2080 eGPU + 2018 13" MacBook Pro. All went well. This was tested through internal display, Samsung 49" super ultra wide monitor, and HP 5K monitor. I would guess your issue is related to the stuck internal display [iGPU deactivated]. So instead of connecting the eGPU prior to boot, try hot-plug once Windows fully loads or at the Windows logo spinning circles.

@itsage I tried loading the eGPU after the iGPU per your recommendation but as soon as I connect the eGPU the iGPU disables.

Do I need to do something else?
