@gareth_rees, the bios issues does not have to be a bios issue for you, as every manufacturer writes his bios...

Cryonaut is a regular TIM - liquid metal on copper heat spreaders might end up dry -> http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/liquid-metal-explained-how-it-works-why-it-fails-and-how-to-use-it.809332/

My PCH is not actively cooled but still does not get hot... I checked with HWinfo...

Finally my Power Settings nex to yours:

On behalf of your suggestions I checked the PCH Temps again...

Anmerkung 2020 04 10 01
Anmerkung 2020 04 10 02
Anmerkung 2020 04 10 154807

Temps Update:

Pic 1: Gaming scenario - witch quite CPU and GPU intensive scene in KC:D -> PCH 63°C

Pic 2: Worts Case - Riding up and down the CPU intensive Markeplace Scene in KC:D ->PCH 73°C
However - as soon as I stop forcing the extra high load (stop movement) the PCH Temp will drop to around 63°C again...

Pic 3: Just out of couriosity I applied an improvised cooper heatspreader to the PCH.
The temps in "worst case" are a somewhat better (69°C)but there is no improvement in terms of better frames...

All the Best!

phila

P.S.: Regular Gaming (Witcher 3 @ 2560:1080p) PCH will not surpass 55°C

I'm wondering if the same performance delta accounts for the benchmark results I got with my Asrock Mini ITX SFF PC vs my old MacBook Pro 13 2018 using the same egpu.  The graphics scores in 3dmark are about %8-15 slower, while the CPU is basically the same.  Since the desktop has a full array of BIOS settings to change can you think of anything I could try to tweak this there?

Core X Chroma + RTX 2080 Windows 10 1909
Asrock X570 Phantom Gaming ITX/TB3, Ryzen 5 3400G + Core v2 + Radeon VII Win10 1909
