Razer Core X Chroma - Turn on (lid closed) Laptop when turned on?

Hello there!

I have a Dell Precision 5540 Laptop with currently a Dell WD19TB Thunderbolt dock connected to it and I usually run this combo with the laptop's closed lid and two external monitors hooked up to the WD19TB dock. Conveniently, the dock has a physical power on button which, when the laptop is shut down, turns it on and so I don't have any fiddly things to do like taking the closed laptop out of its stand, turn it on, close the lid again etc and since I was thinking about 'upgrading' to a Razer Core X Chroma, I was wondering if and how I could do the same with the Core X Chroma?

Does it turn on the connected laptop automatically when the physical power switch is flipped or does it work some other way / does the Core also have a dedicated button for that.. ooor does it simply not work like that at all and I would have to open the lid and all that?

Thanks!

The power switch does not affect the laptop for me. I am using a Dell XPS 15 7590 connected to a Razer Core X Chroma over the TB3 port. It seems to me that the laptop controls the Chroma's power but not vice versa.
