refind doesn't show any options
I'm using the egpu guide to try and fix the code12 error (fun) but, when I restart, the refind boot screen shows the logo and nothing else, there's no drive for me to choose.
Is there something special I need to do to make it see the EFI partitions?

Can you provide more details on what steps you took to install rEFInd? On the non-Touch Bar MacBook Pro, you can try hot plug to resolve error 12. To do that, first set the Startup Disk to either BOOTCAMP or macOS in System Preferences so that the system disables rEFInd. Boot into Windows volume without the eGPU connected. As soon as you see the circling dots at Windows logo boot screen, connect the eGPU.
Thanks for the reply, I got busy but am getting back to this.
I installed rEFInd with the script ( https://www.rodsbooks.com/refind/installing.html#installsh). I also copied apfs.efi to the drivers directory.
I have the startup disk set to Windows (I don't have an option to set it to rEFInd) it just boots to that automatically.
I tried hot plugging it like that but Windows just crashes or the screen goes all (for want of a better phrase,) wonky
I still can't get this to work. Tried reinstalling in recovery mode. Seems to install fine with no errors.
Also wiped my machine and started again.
Do people have refind working on the 2017 MacBook Pro (13")?
