Hey guys!
My system:
Intel Core i7-1065G7
NVIDIA GeForce MX250 (2GB GDDR5)
16 GB LPDDR4X-3733
512GB Samsung SSD
External Samsung Space Monitor
Razer Core X
Up until 2 days ago I was using a RTX 2060 OC in a Razer Core on my Lenovo Yoga S 740 14.
I could play most of todays games at ultra settings in 1440p.
Some newer ones not so much, so I decided to go for a Sapphire RX 5700 XT Pulse.
I unistalled all previous drivers using DDU. Set up was relatively easy, harder than on my RTX 2060 though.
I have more Max FPS now. Battlefield V on Ultra before: 45 constant.
Now sometimes I have 70 or 80, but it decreases massively with a lot going on in game. So much that it drops to 40 often. I have massive issues with Call Of Duty Modern Warfare too. Before in Team Deathmatch, with my 2060 I had an average of stable 50 FPS and now sometimes it's 100, but then drops to 40 or so.
Although 100 sound a lot, if the frames per second constantly drop it's just totally stuttery to play 🙁
Not stable at all.
I did a Timespy Benchmark. Graphics Score: '
RTX 2060: 6800
5700 XT: 8200.
Looks much better! Still, doesn't help.
I have tried various things. Disabling my MX250, Disabling my Intel GPU.
Nothing helps 🙁
Has anyone experienced these issues with Radeon cards?
It just seems so much less reliable than the RTX...
I am 2 seconds away from returning it and purchasing a 2070 Super instead!
Thanks for your help in advance!
Thom
