I'm fairly sure it will work on any box, as the utility is generic Intel utility. couldn't find this new version even on Intel's website, Dell's latest version is still only for the WMI driver and the old Thunderbolt application. Fortunately Lenovo had it packaged with their docking station Firmware upgrade pack, just ignore/delete the Lenovo .bin file and use the one appropriate for your device.

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

Can you post the screen capture that shows Controller driver version? I found 1.41.645.0 on Intel NUC drivers website. Gigabyte GC-Titan-Ridge website has 1.41.648.4.

@itsage @stefan_lachev A lot of the times, the Venus does not show up in either Thunderbolt Control Center or the older software. I did get the Mantiz to show up in the Control Center app this time, only for the thing to fail with yet another error. To be clear, I am selecting the Mantiz device in the device selection step, and not one of the TB controllers (under which the Mantiz would show up).

Can't find a way to attach a screenshot, probably because i'm new. Hope Google drive link is OK, remove if not.

@mac_editor That's too bad. I have not been able to run Thunderbolt FWUpdateTool with Thunderbolt Control Center on a Mac. For me it's only possible through the older Intel Thunderbolt Software.

Run the tool inside the TBT WHL folder and not the one in just the TBT folder (in case you missed this). The one outside the WHL folder doesn’t work.

I tried the Mantiz Venus with my 2016 15" MacBook Pro just now using this FWUpdateTool inside TBT WHL folder. Nothing happened at all. I have Thunderbolt Control Center 1.41.654.0 running on this machine.

I presume the tool at least ran? For the Mantiz, I think the older software is a necessity.

DSL6540 FW update will be relied on Thunderbolt controller Version 16.2.55.275 and the host Controller has to be DSL 6540 too.

2016~2017 13/15" had no issue to refresh the FW in Bootcamp, but 2018~19 is using Titan ridge controller in the host which will cause the no go situation.
