Using two eGPU's on a Dell XPS 13 9370
To render 3D animations, I've set up a Dell XPS 13 9370 (quad i7/16GB) with Windows and a Razer Core X with an AMD RX 6700 XT. The machine is rendering almost 24/7 and super stable, so it's a great setup.
Since the XPS has two Thunder Bolt 3 ports, I'm wondering now if I can hook up a second eGPU of the same configuration. And if it works, would that effectively double the rendering capacity?
@wout, You can try adding a second eGPU. The most likely scenario is error 12. Windows has a better time handling resources with Nvidia cards.
Eevee will continue to use only one 6700 XT at a time.
Ok, that doesn't sound promising.
I've been thinking about buying an Nvidia card, but that's not really an option with today's prices, even if they are even available in the UK.
Thanks. Well, Cycles is what I'm using, so that's what I'm looking for.
