Dell XPS 9550

Akito Node Thunderbolt3

EVGA GTX 970 FTW

I bought an Akito Node Thunderbolt3 based off some other builds to put my GTX 970 in. Updated BIOS, thunderbolt drivers, firmware, the node firmware, and nvidia drivers. Plugged everything in and the laptop detects the node, but nothing else. I've tried plugging in from boot, rebooting, hot plug. Detects the node fine, but not the GPU. The GPU works fine in my PC so I don't think it's the issue. I don't have any other PCIe cards/GPUs to test with though. Power connectors are attached to GPU, I've tried reseating. The fans on the GPU spin up and then spin down after about a minute.

Same issue on a XPS 9350, not sure if that model supports eGPU at all tho.

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
