Hello

I need to connect multiple monitors to my iMac Pro 2017 running Radeon Pro Vega 56 8 GB & 32 GB 2666 MHz DDR4.

I was thinking of adding an eGPU with the new AMD Radeon Pro WX 9100. Does it make sense? is there a better solution?

Thanks a lot for your help

How many external monitors are you planning? The Radeon Pro Vega 56 dGPU should have at least two spare DP.

@itsage

Thanks for your response. I need 4/5 displays aside from the iMac one.

What are my options?

@ironman_pablo WX 8200 for 4, WX 9100 for 6. There's a 5700XT with 4 DP and 2 HDMI. Anything else is older or will require you to use HDMI which is not the best for 4K60.

@joevt

Thanks so much. So will it work?

I do not want to spend 2000 eUros, connect it to my iMac and waste the money!

thanks!

You can try searching for macOS builds that use those cards.
