I'm surprised to have minimal eGPU load when using FCPX 10.4.7 on Catalina 10.15.2. The performance is similar to D500... The monitor is connected to the Vega64.

Is the screen attached to the eGPU or one of the D500s? I noticed reduced performance when I tried to attach a screen to one of my D500s yet an ap was being accelerated by the eGPU. The best option is to let the eGPU drive the display and be the accelerator for FCPX.

Yes I know it's only 20Gbps but when comparing Geekbench 5 I get 2x more performance from the Vega versus single D500. Is this normal in FCPX 10.4.7 to have that poor eGPU usage in playback/rendering/export?
