I'm very excited of this results! But unfortunately i con't compare: when i plug my mantiz venus and its vega 64 in my MBP, i can't even open FCPX, it simply crashes after 2 seconds. When in the internal display with no GPU, it works. I hoped for an update or something, but now you're telling us it works!! How did you make it?

I downloaded ResXtreme and made sure my displays were running 8-bits/sample. This resolved my issues when trying to open FCPX with NVIDIA eGPUs so it's worth a shot.

I heard FCPX 10.4 no longer supports eGPU rendering.

This mean we can use Vega 64 with Mantiz? Does it provide enough power for gaming (on Mac)?

Macbook Pro 2016 15inch - RP455 with Mantiz Venus Gray + Gigabyte Aorus RX580 8GB => P2715Q 4K 😀

Impressive tho I thought FCPX was only using the eGPU for timeline scrubbing right now cuz of a bug? Sucks I'm basically just waiting for whatever eGPU update they're probably putting off till Mojave at this point, I'd like to snag an eGPU now.

You need a more powerful PSU, check my video:
You can see enermax inside Venus here:

There is a script, which enables FCP export eGPU utilisation.
Sadly the performance is still a fraction of what it could be / was.

About Luxmark: I get great results with GTX 1080 Ti on Ball and Micro, but completely fail on Hotel. Anyone seen that before?

So nobody else has this effect? It's reproducible with every nVidia card on MacOSX: Luxmark Hotel is not working.
