Does such a thing exist?

I've just bought a new XPS 13 Plus and and Razer Core X and I really need circa 3m between laptop and eGPU.  Is it possible?

Alternatively, if I got hold of a 3m 20gbs, would the eGPU work?

So far, I've found Apple's new cable:

I think that may be it.  Would be interested to hear if anyone has used this for an eGPU

Hi @lexfori

It sounds a bit strange this Thunderbolt 4 cable with 3 meters… I have the exact same configuration as yours (XPS 13plus and Razer Core X). I managed to buy a thunderbolt 4 cable separately but maximum 2 meters. So far mine is working well.

Since you posted it in July maybe you can share if you succeeded to get the Apple 3m cable and if it worked well for you.

I don't think there are intel certified 3m TB4 cables as intel itself states that the length can go UP TO 2m:

What Is Thunderbolt 4? - Intel

  • They transmit data farther. With longer data transmission distance, Thunderbolt 4 cables provide top transfer speeds at up to 2 meters (6.56 feet) in length — ideal for building a gaming laptop setup.

While you might find TB4 cables of that length, you can't be sure that they will be able to support TB4 speeds
