I have an 500W ATX DC-DC Power Supply connected to a 12V battery and I am using it with a Razer Core X eGPU with an RTX 2080 installed in order to make my setup mobile for a project.
The motherboard inside the eGPU has a standard ATX 24 pin connector. All the voltages are working fine and PSU turns on which means that the PS_ON pin is being set to low. But the fan on the eGPU and GPU itself is not powering up. Checked all the voltages for 8 pin and 6 pin PCIe power connectors for the GPU as well, which seem to be fine.
Funny thing is that it powered on once with this solution. Then I turned it off because I found the ATX connector was loose and after that in all the following endeavors it wouldn't turn on.
Has anyone worked on this before or faced a problem like this? Is the problem likely to be related to the ATX Power Supply and its connections or maybe from the battery?
