I'm interested in buying either the current or the newly announced gaming box, but was not impressed reading about its noise levels.

I came across this amazon review though:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/customer-reviews/R3QIT3QV6RRI3C/ref=cm_cr_getr_d_rvw_ttl

How hard would it be to replace the fans inside the box? If it's easy enough I might consider doing the same.

Thanks!

Noise levels are a personal interpretation. For example, I don't mind the noise, I usually use the Gaming Box while Gaming so I have my headset on most of the time. I'm more than impressed with the Gaming Box (1070) for the price.

To answer the question, the fans do look like they can be replaced. However, as reported by some users, the graphics card can have a coil whine.

It's not bad. Any egpu is going to  have fans.
