@sdedalus1, ok, in this case, what is the next best thing that will work out of the box with a single dell da2 psu? please

 

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

Hey guys, thanks for the guide but why do i need 2 splitters?

Just for the archives: Athena Power Cable-PCI6EPS428 can convert a 6 pin to a 4 + 4 pin so it fits on the Dell, one P4 feeds a PicoPSU and you can use the other 4 pin to get easy access to ground (one of the blacks). A precrimped lead would, I guess work best but I didn't get that far yet, Molex pre-crimped leads are backordered here.

I really really wanna try this as it looks perfect for what I need, but I gotta ask. How safe is this? It looks rather dangerous if the clip were to slip out and cause the gpu to explode. I'm also wary of using two DA-2s to power the card as that's two separate sources of external power.
