More eGPU publicity on 9to5mac.

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

I found this prototype in one forum:

I guess it will be with Akitio Node Length - 32cm and Akitio Thunder2/3 H and W 14.9cm x 7.6cm.

Is it having an Internal PSU? Any card will be compatible? If so, I am in love...

It's hard to imagine the case has any power brick in it. Anyway, I'm still wanting it!

Hate to be a buzz kill... just did a reverse image search on it. It took me to a thread from  August. That was a prototype of the Node. I don't think that is the EXP, I can't find anything about it at all.

Regardless of it it's a Node prototype from August or not, AKiTiO should at least give us color options. I prefer a brushed silver aluminum chassis over matte black aluminum.

More eGPU publicity on 9to5mac.

That's where I heard of the AKiTiO and the Node/Thunder3 setups. I knew eGPUs were *conceptually* possible back in the TB1 days, but the 9to5Mac articles were my first time seeing an actual implementation of an eGPU.

The more attention we can bring to eGPUs, the better!
