@arzen, Yeah, soldering under the board. This method can provide fastback to factory state - just cut the wire

My apologies guys. It's v late at night and I have rushed through a few threads. I am still confused if a factory rx580 AGB can be upgraded to Nvidia card, say 1070 or 1080?
I mainly use windows laptops...
I am about to buy one off a seller locally in 12 hours so I need some quick answers. Thank you in advance!

How did you made the MacOS work with a Nvidia card?
I have the original GTX 1070 and I'm buying the Macbook Pro 16". My concern is how make this card work on MacOS.

.I can confirm the gigabyte rtx 2060 mini works great in an AGB that originally had a 1070. The H2D firmware for the 1070 also worked great. I used this setup on both a matebook x pro and 2019 razer blade stealth. For $470 it is a powerful mobile gaming setup ($350 for 2060 and $120 for AGB).
How did you get the MacOS working with the GTX 1070? Because I saw that MacOS don't support Nvidia cards.

.I can confirm that the Gigabyte RTX 2070 v1 works just fine on a Gaming Box which originally came with a 1070. My only problem was the PSU died after 1 month of light usage, but I'm not sure if the 2070 was the cause since heat was pretty much the same between both. I had to buy an external ATX PSU since I couldn't find a replacement for the original.

Anyone tried RX 5600 XT itx with RX 580 Gaming Box? Does it work without the 12v trick?
