ASUS XG Station Pro - Boosting Power Delivery via USB-C 3.1 Port

I was just curious if anyone has tried connecting an additional power supply via the USB-C 3.1 port on the XG Station Pro to increase the power delivery thru the active TB cable back to the laptop.

I was thinking this could clean up the setup and provide it the one cable connection similar to what you'd see from the Razer Core X.

I just purchased the new Razer Blade Stealth, so later this week I'll grab my XG Station Pro from the office and see what type of results I get if I plug Razer's 100-W USB-C power supply into the XG Station Pro USB-C 3.1 port.

Optimistically curious if the USB-C port will serve as a PD pass thru and boost the active PD to my laptop, saving me from purchasing the Razer Core X Smile

Thanks if you've tried this and/or have any comments.

@cigmatic,  The eGPU enclosure firmware dictates Power Delivery amount. Unfortunately the expansion USB-C 3.1 gen 2 on the XG Station Pro does not provide passthrough PD like your plan. I'm hoping @mac_editor can figure out a way to change PD settings in TBT firmware [TBT-Flash].

@itsage,  thank you!  Saved me from hauling my XG Station back and forth from the office.

I'm a bit OCD about the clean 1 cable connection, so sadly Razer may get my $300 for the Core X.
