Let say I have a Razer Blade Stealth 13, which has a 1650 Ti. Then I connect an RX 5700 XT to it. Can make both GPU render graphical content at the same time?

Also, what happens if both dGPU and eGPU are from the same company? I heard that I have to do some extra work (e.g. uninstalling drivers etc) for the setup to function, is that true?

Expected setup:
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9
Gigabyte AORUS RTX 3080 Gaming Box

  • @matthew_kwong, I have a MacBook Pro with 750m dgpu and an 780ti egpu.  I can use both at the same time in macOS, but in Windows, driver acceleration works only for the egpu.

MacBook Pro 2014 15” 750M + Sonnet breakaway box 550 + Nvidia GTX 780 Ti

2014 15" MacBook Pro (GT750M) [4th,4C,H] + GTX 780 Ti @ 16Gbps-TB2>TB3 (Sonnet Breakaway 550) + macOS 10.14.6 & Win10 [build link]
