Hi everyone.

So I have a late 2013 Mac Pro running on Mojave, I purchased a Dell 49" screen which my mac pro cant handle 5120x1440. I purchased the core X and got myself the RX Vega 64 the Mac Pro sees the card but for some reason when i plug a HDMI or DP from the Vega to my monitor I do not get a signal.

Side note

Running a Thunderbolt 3 *USBC* to a thunderbolt 2 adapter to the mac pro

If anyone can please help me I would highly appreciate it.

Thunderbolt 2 Macs don't support eGPU by default. Run one of the workarounds.

I spoke with Razer and they said that was fine? The mac even sees the card but the signal from the egpu to the screen doesnt come up

What do you mean workarounds?

This is Apple's official support document: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208544

Use purge-wrangler or automate-eGPU EFI.

All of this is a google search away Smile

No worries - its Razer's bad for misinforming you. Fortunately you will be up and running if you use any of the aforementioned workarounds (use one or the other). Also see builds.

Just follow the instructions. I think it would be easier for you to try purge-wrangler.

We're here to help but low-effort inquiries will be removed/ignored. I saw @fxps' inquiries on both Reddit and the linked Macrumors topic. This is an example no credit given to the developers of our community, mainly @goalque and @mac_editor, which led to misinformation.
