Daisy chain and 45W power delivery (I want 10GbE eventually)?

Is there any way to add ten gigabit Ethernet without losing a port to it? The Akitio Thunder3 Dock Pro has a fan, that's absolutely, totally out. The Akitio Thunder3 and the Sonnet Solo doesn't daisy chain. I guess I could take a Sonnet SEL or some other enclosure and throw in a 10GbE card but if I go there then I'd rather have power delivery... I know, I know, first world problems 😀 but still is there any enclosure which either

  1. Provides a PCI Express port, 45W power delivery and daisy chain
  2. Provides a 10GbE port and daisy chain?

Have you looked into the AKiTiO Node Duo? It provides two x2 PCIe slots, 60W Power Delivery through the upstream TB3 port, and a downstream TB3 port for daisy chaining. If you intend to install a 10GbE card in one of the slots the second one can be used for a USB hub card or M.2 SSD for example. The front cooling fan can be disconnected/removed for such use without compromising the cooling system.

o_O There is a chaining enclosure with >15W PD? Thanks! And no, while I was aware of the existence of that thing, I haven't considered it for this purpose. I wonder, did you test an Alpine Ridge LP port with that enclosure and an eGPU chained after? I have the Galax 1060... but of course hacking a GPU into this directly could work as well. However, if eGPU chaining would work then I could add not only an ASUS XG-C100C but some cheap quad port gbe card as well... together with the native port on my ThinkPad that would be six independent networks, one ten gbe. That begins to look like enough 😀

I wonder, did you test an Alpine Ridge LP host with that enclosure and an eGPU chained after? I have the Galax 1060 eGPU... but of course hacking a GPU into this directly could work as well.
