Hi, I am Student in Japan.
I am sorry that my English is so bad...

I'm going to buy Razer Core.
But, I heard the rumor that it has problem for USB port.

I can not know this problem...
Because, most japanese people don't have Razer Core V2.

I will connect for Core to use Razer keyboard and mouse, mixer, mic.
And, I going to use RTX 2080 Ti (GV-N208TWF3OC-11GC) on Core.

Does Razer Core V2 work without any issues?
Is this problem for Razer Core V1 only?

Thank you very much for reading up here! X)

What issues/problems are you worrying about? The Razer Core V2 has a dual Thunderbolt 3 controller setup to make sure expansion ports work without issues.

According to my sources, this usb port issue is for Razer Core V1.
But, Razer Core V2 don't have it.

I can buy V2 safely! X)

I have a Razer Core v2 and the usb ports work great.  The only possible problem I could see with a 2080 ti, is that you may not operate reliably while powering your laptop with PD (Power Delivery).  The only post I've seen on these forums using a core v2 and a 2080ti was running them with a 15" razer blade laptop which does not draw power over the TB3 connection.  I've considering buying a 2080ti also but I am worried the core v2 PSU might not be able to power the card and my laptop at the same time.

Thanks, looks like my Power Delivery concerns were unfounded.  Guess the only iffy card for the Core v2 is the Vega 64 (and I've seen some successes with it here too).  Wondering if Razer plans on updating their support documentation with a new list anytime soon.

@Debugon I’ll try later today using all ports (with rgb keyboard, mouse and Xbox controller beside hdd) of Core v2 with 2080ti Setting. Till know I use only one port for HDD without issues.
Edit: I played Shadow of the tomb Raider, destiny 2 last night with full ports are being used for hours there was no disconnecting issue as expected.

I recently bought a Razer Core v2 but while it displays my external monitor fine, the USB ports don't work on my Macbook 13 2017.

It's definitely a V2 since it has the horizontal air vents.

Any ideas?

I think core v1 has similar air vent with v2 the difference only on TB3 location, v2 is right under the power cable and v1 when I’m not wrong above or somewhere else, not right under power cable I believe. V1 had usb/io ports Problem due bandwidth traffic jam especially when under load resulting io ports disconnect and reconnect issue but not such issue (not work at all), probably hardware (io modul on the board) defect?
