I use a Razer Core X enclosure with a Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 5700 XT (8GB) in it, connected via TB3 to a Mac Mini 2018.
When i put the Mac Mini to sleep, the enclosure draws 20W continuosly , but AFAIK i can see that the RX5700 XT is powered down. (LEDs are turned off)
I tried some other GFX Cards (RX580, RX590) but always with the same results, so i figure its the Razer X that uses that amount of power.
Is there anyway to get the standby energy usage down withoutpowering down completly or removing the eGPU from MacOS? (i dont think so)

does anyone have a similar issue or can recommend another eGPU Enclosure that doesn't waste that much power in standby?
if you measured your standby power usage on your eGPU enclosure, please reply here with the values 🙂
