Hi, i want to buy gpu but i don't have any space for graphics card in chasis. I did some research about how to use gpu without changing chasis and find eGPU. If i buy Razer Core X compatible for my HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF computer ? I think i have a USB Type-C 3.1 port in my computer but it's not detect eGPU. I assume i have a buy external thunderbolt 3 connection in my motherboard. I look up for external thunderbolt 3 card for HP store and find compatible for my computer. Can you enlighted me about it please. Thanks for comments already.

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

@cagatay13, you need the optional Thunderbolt add-in card to use a Thunderbolt eGPU.

There's HP Flex I/O option but those are for computers like the HP EliteDesk 800 G4 DM which is not the same as the HP EliteDesk 800 G4 SFF.

You have other options like using a low profile GPU:

You could also install a M.2 or U.2 adapter, then connect an external a M.2 or U.2 to PCIe slot cable with power supply to power the GPU:

The M.2 or U.2 options will have more performance than Thunderbolt 3.

Mac mini (2018), Mac Pro (Early 2008), MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), GA-Z170X-Gaming 7, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Sonnet Echo Express III-D, Trebleet Thunderbolt 3 to NVMe M.2 case
