Hi all,

I would like to buy an eGPU and don't know anything about mac compatibilities. I read that 2013 macbook were not compatible with TB3, but is it possible to use the adapter TB2 to TB3 to use eGPU? Or should I just upgrade my macbook pro to a newer version?

Thanks in advance for your answers!! Smile

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

@solinebredin, There are 27 builds in the Builds list that show "MacBook Pro 2013". Most of them use an Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adapter to use a Thunderbolt 3 eGPU. Go check a few of those out.

Mac mini (2018), Mac Pro (Early 2008), MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015), GA-Z170X-Gaming 7, Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580 8GB GDDR5, Sonnet Echo Express III-D, Trebleet Thunderbolt 3 to NVMe M.2 case
