I've just bought Razer Core X for my Dell XPS 13 9370. Everything went smooth. So after testing few games I've noticed that they aren't utilizing the eGPU. After little bit of googling I found a solution. I need to change my preferred GPU for a specific application in Windows (Settings -> Display ->Advanced graphics settings). I find this very tedious to change the settings for each application. I've tried changing the 3D settings in Nvidia Control Panel to prefer Nvidia GPU but with no success.

Is there a way to change preferred GPU from iGPU to eGPU for all applications?

@dotaim I’d recommend running DDU to remove all graphics drivers (for both Intel iGPU and Nvidia eGPU) then manually install latest drivers. Nvidia Optimus should work with the Intel iGPU to accelerate the internal display automatically.

@itsage

Unistalled and downloaded new drivers but it doesn't work. In the main panel I have an icon with Nvidia GPU Activity but without changing the preferred GPU in Windows the icon says that my GPU is inactive.

Which Windows 10 version are you running? If unsure, you can type winver into the Taskbar search box.
