Gaming Box RX580 - Bluescreen THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER - Windows 10 20H2
In hope of getting an answer here faster:
I've not been using my eGPU (Gigabyte Gaming Box RX580) for a longer time now. Now that I've been trying to use it, as soon as the GPU connects I get a bluescreen telling me THREAD STUCK IN DEVICE DRIVER
I've been trying to reinstall most of all drivers, but as soon as I get to the point of installing the AMD driver I get the bluescreen - sometimes the screen just freezes or in the rarest cases turns "dark" (I don't know how to explain this).
Has anyone encountered this problem before? Is this a problem that might be connected to Windows 10 20H2, as I've read there are some issues with TB3 NVMe SSDs, but maybe this translates to this as well? The windows update is the only difference I know, that might have changed my setup.
Are there any newer thunderbolt drivers I should try? I've been using V220.127.116.11 from the ASUS page.
I am really open to any ideas, as right now I am stuck with an expensive power brick with additional USB-hub features 😉
