I’m having driver issues with mine also.  Using 418 but I can’t get Nvidia Control Center to appear (which is necessary to enable gsync on my monitor).   I also updated to the same firmware as you.  It prioritizes GPU traffic over usb which is honestly what we want anyway.  I’ll post more once I’ve sorted out the driver issues.

plugging in the egpu kind of breaks the graphics driver for the m2000m on my dell 7510.  This isn't (totally) unreasonable as i don't expect two nvidia gpus to work at the same time.   However, if I unplug the egpu, the m2000m stays broken, even on reboot, with a code 43 error.   To fix it, I need to uninstall the m2000m in device manager (do not delete the driver).  scan for hardware changes to reactivate it, reboot, and then it works again.  a bit clunky, but oh well.

The biggest thing I hate about the 2070 is the short 1.5 foot TB3 cable.
Are people actually using it?  or switching to a longer cable?  if so, which?

Edit:  Just noticed in my power options - advanced settings that PCI express -> Link state power management
was set to 'maximum power savings'.  From what I can tell, this is potentially bad.  Setting it to OFF.

Okay, through some hints with other threads, I got the 2070 working with the nvidia control panel for windows 10.

Steps:
1)  download ddu from here:  https://www.wagnardsoft.com/
download latest nvidia drivers:  419.17.   (earlier might work, but that's what I used).
2)  Boot into safe mode.   to do this, restart with shift held down.  This puts you in the maintenance menu.
go into advanced options, and you'll find a way to boot into safe mode.   Choose safe mode with no networking.
3)  Install DDU, and run it.
in options, click on:  'prevent downloads of drivers'.  This turn off the automatic driver installer.
click on all of the nvidia items in items.
on right side, select gpu, and select nvidia.
do 'clean and do not restart'.
uninstall any amd drivers if you need it.  Now restart.
4)  Your M2000M should now appear in 'device manager' as:  Microsoft Basic Display Adapter, along with your intel chip.
5)  plug in your egpu.  In device manager, you should now have three display adapters:  your intel, and two 'basic display adapters'.
6)  install your nvidia drivers.   Both of the 'basic display adapters' should now appear as the m2000m and 2070 rtx.
In theory you are done.
Open up nvidia control panel:  you should now see BOTH the m2000m and 2070 rtx in the opened window.

From what I can tell, it now switches cleanly back and forth when you unplug the gaming box.
In theory, you can now turn the auto update back on through ddu since all of the relevant drivers are done.
I haven't tried this yet though.

All I got my 2070 box today and here the scores from my Yoga 720 with 7700HQ processor. Yoga 720 has the limitation of 2 PCIE Lanes similar to XPS 9560. Since I dont have an external Monitor I connected my 3.5 Years old Samsung JS8500 4k TV to run the benchmarks in case that makes a difference

Stock GPU

Firestrike 1.1  - 16294 Graphics / 10451 Physics
https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/34000284

TimeSpy - 7308 Graphics / 4077 CPU
https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/34000654

Superposition 1080P Extreme - 4977
4k Optimized  - 6501

+100 Core , +600 Memory

Firestrike 1.1  - 16968 Graphics / 10421 Physics
https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/34002292

TimeSpy - 7473 Graphics / 4137 CPU
https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/34002113

Superposition 1080P Extreme - 5127
4k Optimized  - 6767

Does this mean my unit is performing at near 1080 levels ?

Looks like you're still running off the dGPU vs the 2070 (they're 1050 level results).

Edit: I must have been looking at the wrong tab, I see the video card listed in there now.

Recently I bought a G5 on clearance in Walmart. It has an i7-8750H processor and 1050 ti inbuilt. Surprisingly I got lower graphics score as compared to my yoga 720 , what am I doing wrong here ? I thought 4 TB3 lanes and a stronger processor would mean better graphics score but it seems it is not so. Any way to fix this ?

Hello to everyone
I have an aorus GB 2070 on an XPS 9570. Everything was working pretty fine but when i checked my firestrike and timespy scores, it was way under what was to expect. So i checked the H2d speeds and saw i was running at half speed. I reinstalles the H2d firmware from gigabyte but everytime i restart my PC or reconnect the box , i need to reflash beceause it's half speed again! I tried to install the 1.3 firmware but then my box wasn't recognized anymore ...
Any tip to stabilize this damn H2D speed withour reinstalling everything everytime?
Thanks to all

Might check through your laptop's bios for PCI speed links?
