Is the Plugable(tm) brand nvme-tb adapter an equivalent adapter to the Wavlink?

I saw this for half the price of the Wavlink and thought it was too good to be true.

this basically would knock 50 bucks off having to buy a thunderbolt adapter for an ADT-linkR43 to make it forward compatible with TB.

Currently experimenting with a T440s.

@thanhtacles, This is not a Thunderbolt 3 enclosure.

The product page says it’s USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10Gbps), not Thunderbolt 3.

 

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.
