[It Just Worked] Mac Mini 2018 (2020 Intel) | Big Sur | Windows 10 Pro 20H2 | Razer Core X | RX 5600XT
AMD xConnect, AMD Adrenalin Latest, "It just worked". All stock drivers and updates from Windows/Apple/AMD/etc.
Boot up with Thunderbolt connected and HDMI connected to external ONLY.
Just wanted to share my surprise, and if it's any help, everything pretty much just worked.
Not sure how else I can help but Praise God I don't have to get a separate PC CPU/NUC/Tower.
If mods/others can advise what I'm supposed to do (build guide?) that would be helpful.
Since I was looking through this site lots in the past few months and there were lots of Bootcamp horror stories.
Mac OS X runs well too with Davinci, etc.
Mac OS X Apple Arcade isn't too smooth (not optimised, TB3 bottleneck?)...
However Windows eg. Apex Legends seems OK with some settings turned down (again, due to TB3 bottleneck?)
Let me know if there's any benchmarks you'd like me to run.
Off the top of my head OS X Basemark GPU Metal is about 5700 points...
Windows Basemark GPU Vulkan is about 6000+ points, some undervolting and overclocking possible, looks like this is a decent 5600XT ie. say 925mv 1800Mhz-ish core 1850(+?)Mhz memory.
Cheers for all the effor you all put into this site.
Pls consider completing the build template (inc pictures) so we can file your build.

Hi all, thanks for the feedback. I used VMWare Fusion on the OS X side last night and that nuked my Windows 10 Pro product key (hardware changed etc). Also my Apex Legends install got corrupted. (These are related to VMWare and Windows so not eGPU per se)
I also allocated too little disk space for Bootcamp.
I'm on holiday now so I hope to reinstall and create the build guide.
Going to use Windows 10 Enterprise Evaluation (long story).
