Hi,

I am using Macbook Pro 13" with 2 ports and sonnet breakaway box which I was not really sure the model number because I bought it a long time ago and did not have a chance to use it until now. However, I found out that the battery was deceasing slowly when it supposed to be charging. My question is with only 2 ports where one of the port is the egpu that came out through the display port to the external monitor and the other one is the usb hub where I used to connect keyboard and mouse, can I use one port for egpu and the other port with the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter from apple to connect the usb hub and also charging it too?

@peemsanit, There are many USB-C hubs or docks like the USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter that allow both USB, video, and Power Delivery to be connected to a single USB-C port (you won't be using the video part since you have an eGPU).

Power delivery amount from the breakaway box should be listed in System Information.app under the Power section. It could be 15W, 60W, or 87W. 15W or 60W might be too low for your MacBook Pro.

@joevt, Thanks for the reply, however, when I was trying to use the multiport adapter with the power delivery and the usb hub plugged in, the moment I connect the egpu to my Macbook, nothing happened but the egpu was turning on. I am running out of ideas on how to get the power delivery in the system.
