Will this product ever be sold or distributed in the United States? I assume the $80 shipping cost is for overseas shipping? Unfortunately I just found out about eGPU's today so definitely missed the group buy.

To do: Create my signature with system and expected eGPU configuration information to give context to my posts. I have no builds.

I received the new firmware (version 25.1) from Mantiz. I can confirm the H2D bandwidth concern is fixed. The bigger news is Power Delivery is now set for 87W. Grin

Great work from Mantiz. The Venus is the eGPU enclosure to beat atm.

Really good news, just a small question: is the power delivery stable? Someone commented at work, that the Asus case, which has 100W power delivery it is not completely stable, and  has ups and downs... Maybe a faulty unit that causes someones mbp has more cycles than should be... Just for curiosity. Thanks 😉

100W is the spec limitation, we are far away for the limitation.

and 87W had been tested by one of Apple SDK to test 0n/off, voltage stability for 1000 times w/o issues, this is also the key factor that Intel gonna approve the device or not.

I was not questioning, just curious ;). How is the certification process going?

@itsage, in your opinion and experience, how do you think that Mantiz could be beaten?

- Any USB-C port?

- Independent USB hub/Ethernet for not suck the bandwidth from the TB3 port?

- Narrower design?

An USB-C port could be useful but you have on your Mac or PC.

No, if you have just one, like in the XPS 15" (or most of non macs) and you are using the eGPU case... so it could be useful, IMHO.

We did this solution already. but we need to reduce one USB in the front which is a trade off solution.

Lab Test is done w/o any issue, now Intel is reviewing.

Are you saying the Venus will be delivered with 4xUSB 3.0 ports and 1xUSB-C 3.1 port?
