What are the differences between Mantiz Venus and Mantiz Saturn?

That Satrun one looks pretty rad.

Hey again, just two quick questions:

  • Is it easy to tell which cards will fit / be compatible? Will you provide a list or something like that?
  • Is there an ETA on the delivery of the first group buy order?

Thanks and great work with everything so far - really can't wait to try it out.

Very good, if Mantiz should agree to another group buy, and I haven't jumped the gun by buying an inferior device, I'd be very interested in joining in!

I see some EU buyers in the list. How did postage work out, and what customs duty and charges do you anticipate having to pay?

What is strange is that in the entire Mantiz web site there are no mentions to Thunderbolt technology (that is different from a generic "USB-C" port) no logo, no specifications.. nothing! Also in the Mantiz Venus there is no thunderbolt 3 port reference...

Does any of Mantiz enclosures have Intel Thunderbolt Certification?

The last update from Mantiz is that they are in the process of getting the Venus enclosure certified. They anticipate June 8th-12th shipping of the first 100 units.

Mantiz is also working with Amazon to get its distribution sorted out.

The Venus look very interesting, the aluminium look should suit a MacBook too..

Im concerned about the bandwidth of just one TB3 driving all that extra IO w/ the GPU, surely there's a bottleneck. Call me crazy but I would love something like this to have another TB3 port. It seems no-one has done it yet...

+1 on the second group buy, count me in if it goes ahead.

Theitsage,

I have a mbp 2016, 15", with touch bar and amd r455 graphics. I want to dual boot with win10 and macos. Do you recommend the mantiz venus or akitio node for best compatibility and performance.
