So I updated my Mantiz Venus MZ-02 with a Silverstone 700W SFX-L PSU as it operates without fans on low wattage consumption and replaced the stock fan with a Noctua NF-F12 120mm, however I did not make a note of which direction the fan should be pointing at, and I installed the fan to blow air inwards - but now my temps are around 5C hotter than before (playing Quake Champions was averaging 67 vs now 72) . Is this the right fan orientation? and should I consider getting a faster (higher RPM) fan?

I believe the bottom fan inside the Mantiz Venus should draw air outside the enclosure.

Button fan which transport hot (!) air outside downwards? It looks as there it has been some trying to bend the law of physics...
Blackmagic eGPU does exactly the contrary, using the law of physics and it works so much better.

Traditionally air should be pushed inwards, but there's not direct flow for the MZ-02 to extract the air from inside the case, as there is only one fan mount. I can attest that it runs cooler with the bottom fan pulling air out of the case. The Blackmagic has vents on the top iirc, just like the trash bin mac, right?

I've added a second fan in my Venus and inverted default fan airflow so it takes fresh air from bottom and eject hot air from the upper fan.

I've also added a second fan but I didnt want to change the appearance of the Mantiz so my fan is positioned vertically to push air out the back as there are a good few holes at the back for air to escape from. Haven't really checked how this effects temps but can't hurt.
