Razer Core X and PCI-E riser card for Ultrafine 5K

I bought Mac Mini 2018 and several items.

I want to use UltraFine 5K as the external monitors.
So I am planning below connections.

I found the PCI-E riser card( https://www.amazon.com/Graphics-Extension-Powered-Adapter-Capacitors/dp/B07C1YVVY9/ref=sr_1_20?ie=UTF8&qid=1546586828&sr=8-20&keywords=riser+pci-e+16+x )

1. Is this possible to use ultrafine 5k with eGPU?
2. If possible, Can I use GC-titan ridge instead of GC-alpine ridge? Because It is difficult to buy GC-alpine ridge.

MadMan

Because the English is not my mother tongue, it is difficult to explain my thought.
So I attached images.
Please help.

I'm about to try pretty much the same, will let you know how it goes...
@itsage has done a couple of set ups like this here

Let me know how yours goes and I'll do the same!

2017 13" MacBook Pro Touch Bar
GTX1060 + AKiTiO Thunder3 + Win10
GTX1070 + Sonnet Breakaway Box + Win10
GTX1070 + Razer Core V1 + Win10
Vega 56 + Razer Core V1 + macOS + Win10
Vega 56 + Mantiz Venus + macOS + W10

Before I try this settings, I am trying to use Ultrafine 5K as external monitors.

*connection info
Razer Core X - (TB3) - Mac Mini 2018 - (TB3) - Ultrafine 5K

There are 2 problems.
1. At the first time, I succeeded the 5120 * 2880 resolution in BootCamp. And I was able to playing games at 5120*2880.
But I rebooted, I can not use 5120*2880, I only use 4096 * 2304.

2. When I reboot the Boot Camp, the Windows 10 can not recognize the eGPU. So, when I reboot with Mac OS then I reboot with BootCamp, Windows 10 can recognize eGPU. Do you know why?

@sunshinedw How did you set up the RX 580 eGPU in Boot Camp? Booting into Windows with a connected eGPU would deactivate the Intel iGPU. Therefore the LG UltraFine 5K monitor would not have output through the Mac mini's Thunderbolt 3 port. You can use rEFInd, apple_set_os.efi, or automate-eGPU EFI to keep the iGPU activated for this current arrangement.

@itsage I followed your instruction.

https://egpu.io/forums/builds/late-2018-mac-mini-i3-rx-vega-5632gbps-tb3-sapphire-gearbox-macos-10-14-2-win10-1809-itsage/

* problem 1)
Windows 10 can not find RX580. There is not RX580 in device manager.
This problem happen when I reboot Windows.
When I boot to Mac OS first then reboot to Windows with automate-egpu, I can use RX580.

* problem 2)
I can not use 5120*2880 resolution. There are RX580 and iGPU in device manager. But I can't find 5120*2880 in resolution combo-box.

Nice to see some progress! Any pics of how you managed to, err, manage the cabling?

I only get 4K on my 5K when using EFI boot manager although my 5K is currently still connected to my Macbook so running off the iGPU (while games get accelerated by my Vega).
EFI Bootmanager also doesn't recognise my EGPU on boot - I have to hot plug to get it working. If I plug in too early its not recognised and if I plug it in too late I get error 12 (same as if I plugged in once booted).

Things were easier with an Nvidia card so its AMD specific, which is frustrating as I need my et up for both OS.

Automate-eGPU EFI can keep iGPU activated in Boot Camp. What I've experienced is detection inconsistency. Once in a while Windows would not detect the connected eGPU. I've tried rEFI and it's more consistent. Take a look at installation instructions in this build.

How will the accosiated bandwidth limitation causes by rEFInd effect performance?
Just realised I won't be able to use EFI boot loader with my add in card set up, so will try rEFInd again with the custom boot loader (actually look forward to that).

@itsage You are right. I uninstalled automate-egpu and installed rEFInd.
The rEFInd is more consistent. So, the eGPU is always detected in Bootcamp every rebooting.

But, I can't choose 5120*2880.
If I add 5120*2880 resolution in Display Custom Resolutions of Intel Graphics Control Panel, the insufficient bandwidth error occured.

Do you know why?
