Reliable USB/Ethernet on Core X Chroma?

Hello,

I order an XPS15 and I am now looking at getting a Razer core for my EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 GAMING ACX 3.0 (Since I cannot get another GPU from any store these days).

Now I want to buy a Core for myself and I would love to use the USB on the Chroma but are they reliable now? I see they have 2 newer Thunderbolt chips.

I provided a Core V2 for a user at work and he complained constant dropout of USB devices. Knowing that, I am worry to shed the extra $ for nothing.

Should I shoot for this pricier option or stick with the sexy Mercury base model?

I have a chroma X and I can't use the USB that comfortably.. I tried connecting my Oculus Rift and it disconnects randomly... So I settled and am using a spare USB hub...

I think it's a power issue or maybe (hopefully) and driver/software issue... I am however able to plugin an Xbox One controller on my Chroma X without any issues.

MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019)
2.4 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9
32 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
Radeon Pro 560X + PowerColor Red Devil 5700 XT (Razer Chroma X)

@ricardo_felix, Thank you Ricardo. I can supposed that the Rift has more bandwidth/power requirements than a webcam, a Unify receiver and a ethernet jack. So if you use the Xbox one controller and it works fine, I have hope.
